Introduction: Today the issue of quality presents significant challenges for organizational management. This study aims to investigate the relationship between staff resilience and flexibility, particularly in the face of critical and high-risk situations such as disasters and unforeseen events, and the quality of inpatient services in a private hospital.
Methods: This applied research follows a positivist paradigm and employs a quantitative approach. It is descriptive-survey in nature and analytical-correlational in design, conducted as a cross-sectional study. The statistical population was divided into two groups: hospital staff and patients. The sample size included 365 patients and 138 staff members, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected via fieldwork using three standardized questionnaires. Pearson correlation analysis was employed to examine the relationships among the model variables .
Results: At a 95% confidence level, staff resilience showed statistically significant correlations with several dimensions of service quality: physical appearance (r = 0.363), reliability (r = 0.312), responsiveness (r = 0.277), assurance (r = 0.255), and empathy (r = 0.269). Similarly, staff flexibility was significantly associated with physical appearance (r = 0.301), reliability (r = 0.390), responsiveness (r = 0.399), assurance (r = 0.401), and empathy (r = 0.411).
Conclusion: The findings affirm the positive relationship between staff resilience and flexibility and the quality of healthcare services. It is recommended that hospital administrators invest in training and development programs aimed at enhancing these attributes among staff, as doing so may play a pivotal role in improving service quality across various dimensions of patient care.
