Introduction: Social responsibility-based curriculum planning means designing and implementing educational programs that aim to improve employees' awareness, skills, and behaviors in order to positively impact society and the environment. This type of planning helps employees gain a deeper understanding of social responsibilities. The aim of the present research was to design a curriculum planning model based on the social responsibility of employees of the Health Insurance Organization of Iran.
Methods: The research method was fundamental-applied in terms of purpose, mixed in terms of data type, and qualitative in nature, involving interviews with experts. The quantitative part was descriptive-analytical with a correlational/survey approach. The statistical population in the qualitative section included documents and theoretical and practical experts who were selected through a non-random purposeful sampling method. In the quantitative section, the population consisted of employees of the Health Insurance Organization’s headquarters, where 380 respondents were selected as the sample size based on the minimum sample size calculation for structural equation modeling and purposive quota sampling. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were used in the qualitative section and a researcher-made questionnaire in the quantitative section, which were validated for reliability and validity. The data analysis method in the qualitative section involved thematic analysis using MaxQDA-2018, while in the quantitative section, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, including factor analysis with Smart PLS-V3 and one-sample t-test with SPSS-V23, were employed.
Results: The findings indicated that the elements of curriculum planning based on social responsibility in the Health Insurance Organization include objectives, content, methods, and evaluation. Ultimately, a model was designed that integrated both qualitative and quantitative sections. Additionally, the findings showed that the model had appropriate internal and external validity.
Conclusion: The results of this research highlight the importance of designing a curriculum planning model based on social responsibility in the Health Insurance Organization of Iran, which can contribute to improving employee performance and enhancing the quality of services provided to the community.
